Meet Ewa — The Heart Behind Evcushy

Hi, I’m Ewa — the founder of Evcushy, a mum, a dreamer, and someone who understands the deep, sleepless trenches of early motherhood.

I’m originally from Poland, and Ireland wasn’t exactly in my life plan. I first came here for what I thought would be a short break — just a year to recharge from my busy life back home. But something about Ireland felt different. The people, the easy-going lifestyle, the ever-present craic... I fell in love with the culture — and as it turns out, I fell in love with someone, too. That someone became my partner, and soon after, I became a mum.

Like many new mothers, I was completely overwhelmed. My daughter struggled so much in those early weeks — trapped wind, feeding issues, constant crying. She wouldn’t sleep unless she was on me. The minute I moved her, she’d wake up screaming. We tried everything. I was exhausted, desperate, and running on empty.

I started rolling up blankets to cocoon her in the cot, just trying to recreate the feeling of being in my arms. It helped... but it took so much time every single time. That’s when the idea of the baby pod came to life — something safe, snug, and ready-made to help babies feel secure and supported — and help mums get some rest.

I had the vision, but I needed someone to help me bring it to life. That’s where my incredible family in Poland stepped in. They run a small workshop and have generations of sewing and design experience. Together, we created our first Baby Pod Deluxe — and it was a hit from the very beginning.

My daughter started to sleep in it and instantly settled. She would nap in it peacefully — no more crying, no more fighting sleep. It was amazing to finally be able to put her down and she wasn’t screaming — she was just sleeping. That moment changed everything for me.

After such a success with our daughter, I started sharing my experience with other mums who were also struggling. The response was incredible. I kept hearing, “Every mama deserves to know about your pod!” That encouragement gave me the confidence to believe in what I had created. And that was the beginning of the Evcushy brand.

Soon, other mums started asking for bigger pods for when their babies outgrew the newborn size. And so, the Pod XXL was born — designed by a mum, for other mums. That’s how Evcushy truly began.

Today, we’re proud to have helped thousands of parents across Ireland and beyond. Our baby nests are changing lives — giving parents precious hours of rest, helping babies settle naturally, and making those intense early months just a little softer.

I never imagined something so simple could make such a difference. But when you create from experience — from love, from struggle, from truth — magic happens.
